Q. Do I need to do anything before pest control treatment?

Please try and allow access to skirting boards by moving furnishings that are up against the wall and removing toys, clothes, pot plants, towels etc. which are close to skirting boards.

It is recommended that you move food items  off benches in kitchen or table tops etc. You do not need to remove food from cupboards as our gel technique ensures no contamination but we recommended covering open food items.

Please ensure your pet can be kept somewhere safe until our Pest Control Technician advises it is safe to return.

A quick vacuum and mop will also allow the treatment to bond more efficiently.

Q. Are my pets and children safe?

Yes. Pesticides used by Suncoast Carpet & Pest Control are registered with the relevant authorities and meet Australian Standards. We use sprays, gel, dusting and baits to specifically target your problem pests.

Once the treatment has dried and adhered to the surface it will not contaminate you or your children. If you come in contact with an area that is still wet, we recommend you wash your hands thoroughly with soapy water as soon as possible.

There is no concern regarding your furry friends as the amount of active constituent is very small.

Q. Do I need to leave while the pest treatment is being carried out?

It is safe to remain at the premises while the treatment is taking place and our experienced Pest Control Technician will advise you when it is safe to re-enter. Depending on the treatment the house my have to be closed up (windows and external doors) while the treatment is drying, so you may be asked to leave the premises for a short period of time.

We recommend ventilating the rooms thoroughly after treatment for 2-4 hours.

Q. Do I need to remove food from my cupboards? Will they get contaminated?

No. Suncoast Carpet & Pest Control use a variety of pest treatments to target your specific pest problem. Our experienced and licensed technicians use a variety of gels, sprays and baits to provide a safe and efficient treatment.

Q. How often should I get my house treated for pests?

It is recommended that you regularly treat your house for pests every 12 months depending on environment conditions.
